  • Marketsnapp is an easy-to-use online retail platform built for market traders, small & independent businesses and for those who enjoy shopping locally. It is a one-stop shop to discover unique items under one roof. Marketsnapp can be explored at your convenience by using your smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC or Mac.
  • 2. Are there any costs in using Marketsnapp?
  • Register, upload items, promote your business and shop for free. Sellers only pay a minimal admin fee* on completed sale items through Marketsnapp. The admin fee helps cover handling charges, transaction costs, VAT, and other promotional costs which are applied to us and that help keep Marketsnapp operational.
  • 3. Can only market traders sell on Marketsnapp?
  • No, although the aim is to support and promote market traders, small & independent businesses, we can appreciate that not everyone has the time or opportunity to set up their shops. Therefore, we recommend to anyone who is interested in selling on Marketsnapp to sign up!

  • 5. How does Click & Collect work?
  • Click & Collect allows you to pick up your item from the seller with no shipping costs. When proceeding to the checkout, make sure the Click & Collect option is available. If you prefer to pick up your item directly from the seller, choose the Click & Collect option before completing your purchase.
  • 6. Is Marketsnapp safe and secure?
  • Marketsnapp is hosted and managed by Microsoft Azure, which offers a 99.95% uptime guarantee. Marketsnapp automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your device to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). All financial transactions are handled by Braintree (a Paypal owned company).
  • 7. What software do I need to use Marketsnapp?
  • All you need is a smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC or Mac with a web browser and broadband internet access.
  • 8. Do you hold any personal information from me on Marketsnapp?
  • All information provided to Marketsnapp remains strictly confidential. We’ll never disclose your information to a third party without your direct consent. We’ll never contact you by email to request payment or personal information. If you receive any suspect emails, please let us know and we’ll investigate.

  • 9. If I sell non-retail items, like hot food, hair or nail services etc., can I still sell on Marketsnapp?
  • Yes, Marketsnapp was designed to help all sorts of businesses. Whether you are a barber, a hot food operator or a travel agent, Marketsnapp offers the option to sell vouchers for your services or products. Vouchers can be created & purchased through Marketsnapp and buyers may redeem their vouchers at the seller’s location. If applicable, vouchers may also be posted.
  • 10. Is there anything I can’t sell on Marketsnapp?
  • Yes, please refer to the Excluded Items section in our Online Terms of Sale. Also, in order to keep the equality of products on our platform interesting and appealing to customers, some items with bad imagery or of bad quality maybe removed.
  • 11. I want to start selling on Marketsnapp, what I should I do now?
  • Simply click this link and follow the easy setting-up process.
  • 12. Are there a maximum number of products I need to upload?
  • No, however we do advise that sellers upload at least 10 items so that their Marketsnapp shop looks appealing and therefore increases their chances of selling. Follow our step-by-step uploading process to get the best results!
  • 13. How can I upload my products or services onto Marketsnapp?
  • Once you are registered with Marketsnapp, you will be able to upload photos from your smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC or Mac. You will also need to add a description of the item – choose a product category, enter the price you wish to sell it for, and if you want your item shipped or collected. You also have the option to add further details such as colours, sizes and quantities. Once you have completed these steps, your entry may be listed for sale immediately or saved as a draft for publishing at a later date. Should we find your listing to be offensive, defamatory or in breach of our sale terms, Marketsnapp reserves the right to remove your entry and your account may be suspended.

  • 14. How can I contact the seller?
  • Contacting the seller should only be done through the seller’s product page or through your ‘My Account’ dashboard, once you have registered with Marketsnapp. It is advised to use Marketsnapp when contacting sellers so that all messages can be traced in the event of a dispute, as well as protecting personal and sensitive information. Any agreements made outside Marketsnapp cannot be verified and we may not be able to assist you in the event of a dispute.
  • 15. What payment methods are accepted by Marketsnapp?
  • Marketsnapp accepts all major credit and debit cards. We also accept payment via PayPal.
  • 16. My item is damaged/faulty/not what I ordered, what can I do now?
  • We advise that at first instance you contact the seller to see if the matter can be resolved. You can contact the seller through the seller’s product page or through your ‘My Account’ dashboard. If for any reason the matter has not been resolved, you have a legal right to cancel a contract before the end of the 14th day on which you receive your item. You will also be entitled for a full refund from the seller. Please fill in the cancellation form in your dashboard by clicking ‘My Account’ and your request will be forwarded to the seller.   • 17. I haven’t received my product, what should I do now?
  • Please allow for the shipping time you agreed to lapse before contacting the seller. If you still haven’t received your item, you should contact the seller to see if the matter can be resolved. You can contact the seller through the sellers’ product page or through your ‘My Account’ dashboard. If for any reason the matter has not been resolved, you have a legal right to cancel a contract before the end of the 14th day on which you receive the item. You will also be entitled to a full refund from the seller. Please fill in the cancellation form in your dashboard by clicking ‘My Account’ and your request will be forwarded to the seller.   • 18. Is my package insured?
  • Unless agreed with the seller, your item may not be insured. Please contact the seller before completing your purchase to make sure the correct amount of shipping costs are paid so that the seller can insure your item.

*Admin fees are no higher than 10%. Other transaction fees, eg PayPal and bank fees may be applicable. In the event that commission free offers are offered by promotion, Marketsnapp will charge a 0% commission subject to those applied to us by 3rd parties.
